## Descrizione Accademica e Analisi
Large topographic map divided into 10 sheets, each measuring 640x470 mm, lithographed and partially watercolored (the road network and bodies of water), published in Turin by the Sardinian General Staff in 1855. Each sheet is mounted on canvas with publisher’s labels numbered 1 through 10. In the publisher’s slipcase, with a title label on the front cover. Some foxing and staining, but a good copy. A highly detailed map (128 cm high and 235 cm wide) of great topographic precision and with meticulous place names, published in Turin by the Topographic Corps of the Sardinian General Staff during the Crimean War. “Copied” from the map of the Russian General Staff, it enabled Piedmontese troops to navigate the terrain more easily. Sheet 10 contains the mileage scales (in kilometers, English, Piedmontese, and Viennese miles, French leagues, and nautical miles), sheet 5 contains the title, and sheet 6 contains the conventional symbols.
