Giacomino Venturetti, son of Venturino, was a printer active in Bergamo. Born in Sabbio Chiese near Brescia around 1550, he worked for some time in Lyon under Bartolomeo Gabiano. In 1578, he purchased the printing shop of Vincenzo Sabbio, where he had previously worked as an apprentice, and was granted the title of official printer of the city. He had a workshop in the San Cassiano neighborhood. In 1585, he bought Giuseppe Pigoccio’s bookstore in Piazza Vecchia. He also worked in partnership with Cristoforo Corbelli, Felice Olmo, and Battista Mageni. He married Cassandra Colonei and had the following children: Ventura, Valerio, Pietro, Massimo, Vittoria, Prudenzia, and Romualdo. He died on January 7, 1617; his sons Valerio and Pietro succeeded him.
